New Staffing Engine AI Distribution Features: Route Unclaimed Leads to Different Channels + Lead Hashtags for Faster Search

Andrew KimmellAI, Staffing and Recruiting

We’re excited to announce the release of two new features in Staffing Engine AI Distribution to help your team respond faster, reduce clutter, and improve visibility across your lead flow.

#1. New Button to Route Unclaimed Leads to Another MS Teams or Slack Channel

You can now add a new Send to Different Channel button to your MS Teams or Slack lead notification messages.

This feature gives your recruiters and sales reps the ability to:

  • Choose a new MS Teams or Slack channel for the lead
  • Instantly move the lead message to the new channel

When leads hit the wrong channel or aren’t relevant, they often sit idle and unclaimed. Now, team members can redirect them without needing to manually copy/paste or tag an admin. This speeds up response time, clears clutter, and keeps leads in motion.

  • This button only appears on unclaimed leads
  • The transfer does not create a new “Auto Lead Distributed” note in Bullhorn—keeping your lead history clean

This feature is especially useful for large teams with specialized channels (e.g. travel nursing, perm placements, or region-based recruiters) or multi-brand/multi-division environments.

#2. New Searchable Lead Status Hashtags

We’ve also added a status hashtag to every lead message including:

  • #UNCLAIMED – Lead has not been claimed by anyone
  • #CLAIMED – Lead has been picked up by a team member
  • #UNQUALIFIED – Lead has been marked as not meeting your criteria

Your team can now search for these hashtags to quickly filter by lead status. This helps with:

  • Double-checking unclaimed leads that need follow-up
  • Running internal audits of response rates
  • Training new team members on how leads progress

You can also combine hashtags with other search terms (e.g. lead source, recruiter name) to see the history of your lead pipeline directly in MS Teams or Slack—no CRM digging required.
