TalentLaunch is a nationwide network of independently operated staffing and recruitment firms. 

With nine distinct brands spanning light industrial, clerical, professional, and non-clinical healthcare staffing verticals, the TalentLaunch team faced a unique challenge: how to scale their candidate engagement strategy without losing the individual identity and operational structure of each brand.

After testing various conversational AI tools and chatbots, TalentLaunch found that off-the-shelf solutions couldn’t deliver the customization, integration, or performance they required. 

They needed a more sophisticated approach—one that could meet candidates where they are, provide brand-specific experiences, and support recruiters with high-quality, actionable leads.

The Challenge


 

The TalentLaunch team had previously piloted a chatbot and a basic conversational AI platform, but neither solution could scale to fit their needs. 

With the separate brands, each with its own voice, services, and candidate expectations, the team needed an AI-powered experience that felt both personalized and unified under the TalentLaunch umbrella.

They were also in the process of sunsetting a legacy career site platform that included basic chat functionality but lacked real-time data integration, follow-up capabilities, and visibility into candidate conversations. 

They were exploring ways to bring more automation and personalization to candidate interactions.

The challenge wasn’t just implementing AI Agents—it was doing so in a way that maintained brand autonomy, enabled fast recruiter follow-up, and improved data quality across their Bullhorn instance.

The Solution



TalentLaunch deployed Staffing Engine AI Agents across all nine of its operating brands. Each brand was assigned a custom-trained AI Agent equipped with a unique knowledge model, tailored messaging, and workflows aligned to its specific staffing vertical.

The deployment was led by Nico Harlakenden Newton, who oversaw design, implementation, and internal training.

The TalentLaunch AI Agents are now available 24/7 on their respective brand website, qualifying candidates, presenting instant job matches, and collecting detailed information—such as availability, preferences, and location—before handing off leads to recruiters.

Key features include:

  • Multi-brand AI Agent support with individual AI knowledge models
  • Real-time candidate engagement at all hours of the day
  • Smart job matching and advanced pre-screening
  • Google Chat alerts to recruiters for instant lead follow-up 
  • Deep Bullhorn integration, including real-time updates to custom fields
  • Automatic conversation transcripts recorded in Bullhorn and Google Chat

Each AI Agent has its own brand AI knowledge model trained with documentation by TalentLaunch’s internal marketing, sales, and operations teams. Now they can scale their ability to engage candidates and clients 24/7, answering detailed questions, presenting job matches, and collecting valuable data.

The Results



TalentLaunch began seeing results quickly following deployment with increased candidate engagement, improved recruiter productivity, and overall better lead quality. 

Here are some of the results one of their brands, Selectemp, gained from the Staffing Engine partnership in Q2 2025:

  • Hundreds of new candidate conversations via the website
  • 100+ resumes uploaded to recruiters
  • 160+ questions answered instantly by AI Agents
  • 77 job applications submitted based on matching prompts
  • 40+ influenced placements 

Additionally, recruiters were more informed in initial conversations thanks to the rich context captured during AI agent conversations. Real-time Google Chat alerts sped up follow-up time, reducing the lag between initial AI engagement and human contact.
